Dot Foster (she/her) is an award-winning playwright, poet and dramatist. She studied English literature at the University of Oxford and trained at Prague Film School, where she specialised in cinematography. A theatre maker and performer from an early age, Dot’s recent work experiments with ‘film-poetry’, short, lyrical films that combine contemporary dance practices, spoken word and visual languages of domestic space, vulnerability and the natural world. Her debut film as a cinematographer, Ana Nedeljkovic’s “Tezeta” won the Audience Award for Best Short Film in the University of Oxford Short Film Festival 2023, and her poetry has been published in RISE, Oxford Public Philosophy Journal, Free Verse Magazine, Poetry in Practice and The Oxford Blue’s ‘Creativity in Crisis’ writing collective. Her play, ‘Sisyphus’ won Best Short Play at the Oxford New Writing Festival 2020.

Rowan Gould-Bayba (he/him) is a filmmaker and cinematographer from Berkeley, California, based in the Bay Area and Berlin. He graduated from Oberlin College with a BA in Cinema Studies and Environmental Science, and specialized in Cinematography at the Prague Film School. His award-winning film, ‘Karlovo Náměstí, July 15’ premiered this year at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, and has been screened at numerous film festivals internationally. His body of work spans from experimental dance filmography, to both documentary and fiction projects. His grandfather has raised cattle on this ranch for the last 25 years, and Rowan has been making images there since he first began practicing filmmaking and photography.

Jaala Jones (she/her) is a freelance production designer based in Los Angeles, originally from Maryland. She has been working in the Art Department for about 5 years and enjoys it greatly. She found her way to the art department after exploring her interests in forensics, architecture and directing. She attended Columbia College Hollywood as a Directing Emphasis and began doing art department around her sophomore year, making the switch when she discovered how much more she preferred going over all the details of a set and the props. Her work has included over 20 short films, a short documentary, a couple music videos, and a commercial. She will be doing her first feature as production designer this upcoming summer.

Eve Smith (she/her) is a painter and languages student from Cambridge. She studied classical drawing at the Barcelona Academy of Art before starting her degree in Dublin. She has exhibited in competitions at the Whitworth and Tate Britain through the Tate Collective and involved with Babylon ARTS. She is interested in intimacy, community and nostalgia, and how colour can be used to express the inexpressible.

Lake Terre (he/him) is an Actor, Director, and Content Creator from Chino Hills, California. Since his first time performing onstage in preschool, Lake has continued to pursue the Arts. He has studied at Upland’s Seventh Street Community Theatre and Ovation School for the Performing Arts, and has worked on and in multiple theatre productions, social media content, and film projects. Lake holds a bachelor's degree in Film from Cal Poly Humboldt and is currently producing original content on his YouTube channel “Filmmxker” while working on other productions. His latest short film, ‘Bright As a Feather’, has been screened at multiple film festivals and is now available on YouTube.

Despina Rizopoulos (she/they) is a New York City based cinematographer, photographer, and filmmaker. Having studied film and journalism at Oberlin College, Despina specializes in experimental documentary filmmaking. Her affinity for physical creation and visual storytelling has led to her working with physical film and animation within her work. Her photography and cinematography is rooted in documentary practices she honed while studying under the documentary program at the Prague Film School and with photography programs at Oberlin College. Her narrative voice is inspired by her poetry.

Kai Hansen (he/him) has lived in Humboldt County for over a decade. With a childhood spent exploring the wilderness of Prairie Creek, Loleta, and Petrolia, Kai’s passion for nature and eye for imagery and composition has informed his work as a director of photography/camera operator for many short films, event productions, and other video projects. As second assistant camera on the short film “Where the Heart Lies”, he was part of a camera team whose efforts garnered a nomination to the American Society of Cinematographers’ Student Awards. He currently works in the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission office.

Cooper (he/they) is an artist, curator, dancer, and teacher currently residing in Oakland, CA. He works primarily in graphite and watercolor, presenting organic forms to explore fuzzy textures, depth, movement, and intimacy. Aside from working on this film, they are co-curating an interdisciplinary art show and performance piece exploring propaganda, ephemeral forms of expression, and sentimentality. Other film experience includes camera, PA, and editing work, as well as administrative work for festivals.

Irie Adina (she/her) was bit by the film bug in 2021 during the COVID lockdown with a friend's music video - “Snakebite” - which she co-wrote then produced, directed, and shot. The video ended up going viral at over 1/4 of a million views and has garnered over 40 international film festival awards including the California Music Video Award, the Jean Luc Godard New Wave Award, plus awards for Best Director, Mise en Scène, and Costuming. "Snakebite" was featured in the “Spotlight” category in the 57th annual Humboldt International Film Festival. Irie graduated with High Honors from College of the Redwoods in 2023 with a double degree in Fine Arts and Communications, and is about to start her last year at Cal Poly Film School, where she continues to garner top marks and is on the Presidential Scholars List. She is currently filming music videos on location in Las Vegas, and in August will be joining the cast and crew of 'Mad River' as Assistant Director.

Talia Kedem (she/they) is a producer based in Los Angeles, California. She studied filmmaking at Sarah Lawrence College with a minor concentration in literature, humanities, and social sciences. During their time at Sarah Lawrence, they produced over eight short films. Talia currently works at Precariat Productions as a producer and administrative assistant. She is proud and excited to be a part of this project, telling a story that is absolutely heartfelt, relatable, and very cinematic.

Jace (he/him) began his musical life playing classical cello in the Rockport elementary school orchestra. In high school he changed his focus to Jazz Guitar, studying at Walnut Hill School for the Arts and the New England Conservatory Prep Program. Jace finished his studies of Jazz Composition and Cinema Studies at Oberlin College and Conservatory to pursue a career in film composition. In keeping with his eclectic tendencies and interest in American Folk traditions, he began a bluegrass ensemble and dove headfirst into Americana in his final year of college.
